An independent travel agency in Huddersfield has reached the finals of an industry award.
JNT Destinations, led by managing director Tanya Haigh, is in the National TTG Travel Awards 2015 run by Travel Trade Gazette.
The agency, based at Heritage Exchange in Lindley, competed alongside hundreds of entries for a place in the final, which involved a rigorous judging process
Said Tanya: “It’s such an honour to be recognised for a national industry award.
“When I bought the business in 2013 it was coasting.
“Twelve months on, I had tripled the turnover and we are still growing.
“It is great to be recognised for those efforts.”
JNT Destinations plans to expand by opening its first city centre premises in Leeds to service the increasing number of travellers wishing to have a personalised travel planning service.
Tanya is also keen to encourage the next generation of travel planners and has recruited a 12-month graduate placement through a collaboration with Leeds Beckett University.
She is actively seeking more travel and tourism students to join the business.
The TTG Travel Awards will be held on September 28 at the Lyceum Theatre and The Savoy in London’s West End.
